The Wealth panel at the Our Aging Market conference will focus on where money is going. Is it being spent? Inherited? The panel will consist of a diverse group of experts who will provide valuable insights and perspectives on this issue.

The panelists will discuss the various challenges and opportunities associated with wealth transfer, including the impact of changing demographics on wealth transfer, such as the rise of blended families, longer life expectancies, and increasing wealth inequality.

In addition, the panelists will share best practices and strategies for ensuring a smooth and successful wealth transfer, such as effective communication, building trust, and incorporating philanthropic goals into estate planning. They will also discuss the role of technology in facilitating wealth transfer, including online tools and platforms that can streamline the process and increase transparency.

Caitlin Roos is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Boston, Massachusetts. She serves business owners, entrepreneurs and executives – working to help them optimize and streamline the management of their wealth. With years spent in commercial banking, Caitlin leverages that skillset to help clients identify their personal wealth structuring goals. Having earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor designation, she provides pre- and post-planning for M&A transactions and other liquidity events. Caitlin and her team of specialists provide exit and succession planning, trust and estate planning, banking and lending, family office services, philanthropy and investment management. She believes that keeping clients apprised of new opportunities is critical to establishing a trusted relationship in which ideas are freely and frequently exchanged.

John Carrier is a Senior Lecturer of System Dynamics at the MIT Sloan School of Management. 


Carrier instructs senior managers on improving manufacturing and business processes and serves as an on-site coach in support of projects. His research focuses on strategic marketing and new business development in high technology, specialty chemicals, and service segments. Carrier has more than 15 years of experience in a variety of corporate, entrepreneurial, and consulting environments. Since 2006, he has worked with Arsenal Capital Partners as director of Six Sigma, where he is responsible for increasing portfolio company valuation by adapting and applying Six Sigma techniques to midsize companies. Carrier also handles due diligence, post-merger integrations, and financial analysis and improvement. Prior to joining Arsenal Capital Partners, he was employed by Grace Construction Products; Bain & Company, Inc.; and SuperCool LLC. 


Carrier holds a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan, a PhD in chemical engineering from MIT, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
